Cool Behind-the-Scenes Special Dives into the Making of Netflix's THE WITCHER
Netflix has shared a 32 minute behind-the-scenes special called Making The Witcher that shows us what went into bringing the epic fantasy series to life for the fans. Below you can watch the trailer for that special, which is currently available to watch on Netflix.
The video includes interviews with the cast and crew including showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich, Geralt of Rivia himself, Henry Cavill, and more. if you’re a fan of this show, this video is definitely a must watch! I’ve always enjoyed watching these kinds of behind-the-scenes videos. The series is currently shooting its second season under the new coronavirus prevention measures. We have no idea when The Witcher Season 2 might drop, but this is a little something from the show that will keep you entertained.
Based on the best-selling fantasy series, The Witcher follows Geralt of Rivia, “a solitary monster hunter who struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than the beasts. But when destiny hurtles him toward a powerful sorceress, and a young princess with a dangerous secret, the three must learn to navigate the increasingly volatile Continent together.”
Henry Cavill leads the cast of The Witcher saga in the role of Geralt of Rivia; Anya Chalotra as the sorceress Yennefer; Freya Allan as the princess Ciri; and Joey Batey as the bard Jaskier who sings the signature ballad “Toss a Coin to Your Witcher” from the series.
Other returning cast include MyAnna Buring as Tissaia, Tom Canton as Filavandrel, Lilly Cooper as Murta, Jeremy Crawford as Yarpin Zigrin, Eamon Farren as Cahir, Mahesh Jadu as Vilgefortz, Terence Maynard as Artorius, Lars Mikkelson as Stregobor, Mimi Ndiweni as Fringilla Vigo, Royce Pierreson as Istredd, Wilson Radjou-Pujalte as Dara, Anna Shaffer as Triss Merigold, and Therica Wilson Read as Sabrina.
Seven new cast members have also joined the second season of the series, with Norwegian Game of Thrones actor Kristofer Hivju as Nivellen, Yasen Atour (Young Wallender) as Coen, Agnes Bjorn as Vereena, Paul Bullion (Peaky Blinders) as Lambert, Thue Ersted Rasmussen (Fast and Furious 9) as Eskel, Aisha Fabienne Ross (The Danish Girl) as Lydia, and newcomer Mecia Simson as Francesca.
