Cool Early Animation Test For Netflix's Badass LEAGUE OF LEGENDS Series ARCANE

Netflix’s League of Legends animated series Arcane is one hell of a badass series that features some beautiful animation and storytelling. This is a favorite show of mine, and while we wait for the story to continue with a new season, we have a cool early animation test for the series that was created in 2015 to share with you.

This proof-of-concept animation test was completed by the creative team to show exactly what they wanted to do with the series to sell it, and it worked! Check out the animation test below and tell us what you think!

The scene features Vi and Jayce fighting on rooftops above Piltover. The early character designs were different from what we see in the final product, but the style and tone of the world, and the amazing visual effects are all there!

It makes me sad that so many people I’ve recommended this show to still haven’t watched it! It’s seriously awesome!

In the animation test, Vi and Jayce fight on rooftops above Piltover. While the character designs were certainly updated from the 2015 animation test, the feeling of its world, the impact of its visual effects, and more certainly translated to the final product.

The series features Hailee Steinfeld as Vi, Katie Leung as Caitlyn, Kevin Alejandro as Jayce, Jason Spisak as Silco, Ella Purnell as Jinx, Toks Olagundoye as Mel, JB Blanc as Vander, and Harry Lloyd as Viktor. It is developed by Riot Games in partnership with Fortiche Productions. Christian Linke and Alex Yee serve as series co-creators while Linke is also the showrunner.
