Cool Interview With R.L. Stine Highlights The Authors Journey To Horror Icon

Some may find it weird to refer to R.L. Stine as a horror icon, but to a generation of children, he was THE gateway to horror at a young age. Goosebumps were just scary enough to push kids onto more extreme stuff to the point they now yawn when seeing someone's head get blown apart on screen. Would Stine's work still be relevant on the youth of today who have access to actual scary stuff on the web, I'm not one to say, but it's still good entertainment.

Hear Stine's story and the dumb luck that secured him as the most prolific young adult horror writer of all time below.

If you grew up in the United States in the 1990s, chances are you came across the "Goosebumps" books. You remember-the spooky young adult novels that made you check under your bed before turning out the lights at night. Still one of the best-selling book series of all time, this month marks the 25th anniversary of "Goosebumps'" first release.
