Cool New Poster Revealed for SPIDER-NOIR Series
A cool new piece of poster art for Spider-Noir has appeared on the CCXP show floor in São Paulo, giving fans a fresh look at the upcoming live action series and stirring up even more curiosity before the event officially kicks off.
This poster points to private investigator Ben Reilly as the man behind the mask, which we all knew. That detail has already sparked plenty of conversation since this version of the hero is traditionally a Peter Parker Variant in the comics, while Ben Reilly is known as Peter’s clone and the Scarlet Spider.
There is a strong chance a full trailer for Spider Noir drops at CCXP. A leaked thirty second teaser that surfaced over the summer that got fans excited, and I’m looking forward to seeing some new footage.
The show brings back Nicolas Cage, reprising his Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse role, and he sounds genuinely energized about stepping back into this world. Speaking previously about the project, Cage explained:
"I know that the phone's going to be ringing off the hook to play serial killers after 'Longlegs,' and that's not really what I like to do. I don't like violence. I don't want to play people who are hurting people. One of the things that I like about this potential show is that it's fantasy. It's not really people beating people up. Monsters are involved."
Cage also offered a glimpse into the creative tone the series is aiming for, noting that it consists of "eight episodes" and describing it as "more of a Pop-art mashup, like a Lichtenstein painting" with "some sparkle to it."
He expanded on the vibe he hopes to bring to the character, saying, "Well, I mean, the fantasy would be that I could try to aspire to be something more Golden Age. You know, something more like James Cagney or Humphrey Bogart. Or Hedy Lamarr or Bette Davis. I wanted to have that kind of aura, you know, like the more enigmatic, you don’t know too much."
The series is in the hands of strong creative talent. Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot are serving as co-showrunners, while Harry Bradbeer will direct and executive produce the first two episodes.
The cast joining Cage includes Lamorne Morris, Brendan Gleeson, Abraham Popoola, Li Jun Li, and Jack Huston, along with an extensive supporting ensemble that includes Lukas Haas, Cameron Britton, Cary Christopher, Michael Kostroff, Scott MacArthur, Joe Massingill, Whitney Rice, Amanda Schull, Andrew Caldwell, Amy Aquino, Andrew Robinson, Kai Caster, and Karen Rodriguez.
Spider-Noir will debut on the MGM+ linear channel in the U.S. and stream globally on Prime Video.
