Cool New Trailer for the Heroic Magician Film SLEIGHT

It's no surprise that I am very excited for the public release of the film Sleight. I have been since it was shown at Sundance last year. You can read my review here. If you don't want to take the time to click that and read the review, then I'll give you the CliffsNotes.

A young street magician who works for a drug dealer uses the abilities he's gained as a magician to break free from the dealer's grip. It is great. The characters are relatable and down to earth and the stakes are high while not being end of the world high. It's also personal, which gives it a stronger depth than many of the big blockbuster superhero films we're used to seeing.

The new trailer shows off some decent acting and gives a good feel for the tone of the film. I'm also quoted in it, which feels super cool. The film comes out April 28th. Definitely check it out. It is going to be a dark horse in the sci-fi film race this summer.

When Bo (Jacob Latimore), a handsome and gifted high school student, suddenly becomes the sole caretaker for his little sister, Tina, he foregoes college to dedicate his talents to the craft of magic. He wows audiences as a street magician but still has to make ends meet, so he cleverly uses his skills to peddle drugs for the local dealer, Angelo. However when Bo falls for Holly, an adorable teenager in need of support, he decides to get out of the drug business, causing Angelo to threaten his family. Bo must now rely on his sleight of hand and brilliant mind to save the day.
