Cool SPIDER-MAN: MILES MORALES Gameplay Footage Shows Boss Battle Against Rhino

We’ve got some cool new gameplay footage to share with you from the highly anticipated Marvel game Spider-Man: Miles Morales. This footage shows off the boss fight against the mean villain Rhino.

This is actually the first big boss fight in the game. I’m curious to see how this new story plays out in the game and the other villains that Morales will be facing off against. Check out the fight against Rhino below!

As part of our month of exclusive coverage, we're giving you a quick look at the first boss battle players will encounter in Spider-Man: Miles Morales! If yo...

The story for the game is set in the winter about a year after the events of the first Spider-Man game. Brian Horton, the game’s creative director, previously explained, “Marvel’s New York is covered in snow, and just before Christmas break, a war between an energy corporation and a high-tech criminal army has broken out. Miles’s new home in Harlem is at the heart of the battle.”

This is going to be a full story arc for Miles, which started in the first Spider-Man game. Horton went on to explain:

“We really are completing this hero’s coming of age in our game. It is a complete story. When we started crafting it we realized that, with a little bit more of a compact storytelling style, we could tell a very emotionally impactful story that would fit really well as an experience that would take Spider-Man 1 and [Miles Morales] and do justice to this character.”

In regard to the game’s animation, the movements, the mechanics, and even his powers, it’s been explained that they “aren't just unique tricks for this character, they are metaphors for that hero's journey the pair keep mentioning.” While Peter's origin "was born out of tragedy," Horton says Miles "is more so born out of family. What I think is really compelling about Miles as a character is he has friends that he could actually let into his world — his human world and his Spider world. He's a little different in the way he approaches it."

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales is set to be released later this year in 2020 for PlayStation 5.
