Many people today like to declare Marvel Studios the all-time leader in cinema, but if it wasn't for other production companies, they wouldn't be in the position they are today. After a string of failed releases, Marvel was bankrupt and forced to sell the rights to a bulk of their prized characters in exchange for 5% of the profits on the franchises. This sparked a string of releases that would allow Marvel to start making movies again!
