Fun Trailer for the Sci-Fi Fantasy Martial Arts Film ALIENOID From Korea
CJ Entertainment has released a new trailer for an incredibly fun-looking action film titled Alienoid. The movie comes from Korea, and the story has elements from the sci-fi, fantasy, and martial arts genres. This trailer is for the first of a two-part movie, and I’m excited about watching it.
Alienoid centers around “gurus in the late Goryeo Dynasty (918-1392) who try to obtain a fabled holy sword, and humans in 2022 who are hunting down an alien prisoner locked in a human’s body. The two parties cross paths when a time-traveling portal opens up.”
The movies were written and directed by Korean filmmaker Choi Dong-hoon and it stars Ryu Jun-yeol as a master swordsman, Kim Tae-ri as "a woman who shoots thunder," Kim Woo-bin, So Ji-seob, Yum Jung-ah, Kim Eui-eung, Lee Ha-nee, and Jo Woo-jin.
There’s no U.S. release date yet, but it will be released in South Korea on July 20th, 2022.
