Corey Feldman Wants to Expose Hollywood Pedophiles in a Documentary He Wants to Make
There's a lot of talk about sexual harassment right now in the entertainment industry because of Harvey Weinstein. He's currently in a shitstorm of allegations right now and a lot of women are coming forward with stories. This has also spread to other individuals in the industry and women are starting to call people out. They aren't going to take it anymore and there is a big change coming in regards to sexual harassment.
There's another dark corner of Hollywood that no one is really talking about. This dark corner deals with pedophiles in the entertainment industry. This has been a huge problem for years, but for some reason, no one has wanted to expose it due to legal issues. Isn't it strange that these pedophiles are protected by the law? If anyone comes out to say anything and accuse people, these people in power can sue the victims.
Well, Corey Feldman is one of those victims and he is looking to blow the lid off the pedophile problem and uncover the truth surrounding the sexual abuse of kids in Hollywood. The actor recently launched a “Truth Campaign” on Indgogo to finance a documentary about his life and this problem that exists.
Feldman posted a video explaining his plans to expose the pedophiles working in entertainment. He even says attempts on his life have been made since he set out on this mission. It sounds like he's going through an intense time in his life. He says:
“What I am proposing is a plan that can literally change the entertainment system as we know it. I believe that I can also bring down, potentially, a pedophile ring that I have been aware of since I was a child. Right off the bat, I can name six names, one of them who is still very powerful today. And a story that links all the way up to a studio. It connects pedophilia to one of the major studios.”
That's pretty crazy! We know that this has been a problem, but it sounds like it goes pretty deep. Feldman is looking to raise $10 million. He explains what that money would cover, saying:
“I propose to do this by making a film that will be [the most] honest and true depiction of child abuse ever portrayed, by telling my own story in a very real way, in a very honest way, with no editing, no censorship, no studio behind it. I will make the film, I will direct the film, I will produce the film, and I will self-distribute it to guarantee it gets a theatrical release with your donations. Additionally, it will help me buy the security and the legal team I need to protect my family.”
He goes on to say:
“Once it’s done, I believe we can revolutionize the film industry in a way that we can root out the evil and make it safe for our kids again.”
Feldman previously talked about how he and his longtime friend Corey Haim were molested when they were kids in the industry and the actor hopes some of the other 80s child stars that he grew up with will come forward with stories of their own.
“I’m very afraid to do this. It’s not easy. I’ve been living in fear and have been living with this my entire life. As most victims have, I’ve been made to feel awkward, misunderstood, and I’ve been degraded at great levels. Rumors have been told, stories have been made up about me. And I’ve been insulted and degraded in ways that were unimaginable to me. All because they fear what I know as the truth.”
I hope that he gets to make his documentary. I'm rooting for him. This sexual molestation of kids needs to stop, and this doc could put a stop to it and lead to the punishment of those who are guilty of it.
