Could Aaron Taylor-Johnson End Up Being the Next James Bond? He Has Met With Franchise Producer Barbara Broccoli
Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kick-Ass, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Bullet Train) has reportedly met with James Bond franchise producer Barbara Broccoli, and according to Puck News' Matthew Belloni, the "meeting went well."
I assume this means that Taylor-Johnson is up for the role of James Bond, he’s at least a major contender on a list of actors that the producing team is looking at.
Broccoli has previously shared that they are looking for a younger British actor to play Bond next, an actor that isn’t already a huge megastar. Taylor-Johnson definitely seems to fit what they are looking for, and I think he would be awesome as Bond! I like Taylor-Johnson, and he could totally pull it off!
There have already been rumors about Taylor-Johnson going around being up for the role, and when former 007 actor Daniel Craig was asked about those rumors during an interview with MTV's Josh Horowitz, he said: "I don't really pay it any attention. I just, it's a lot of noise. I don't really go on the Internet, I don't have a social media account or whatever it's called ... it is what it is." Then, when asked about how fun the next Bond will be to watch, Craig replied: "Yeah, of course. I'll be front and center."
The actor does have two big film projects coming out with Sony’s Marvel movie where he’ll play Kraven the Hunter and The Fall Guy. What do you all think about the possibility of Aaron Taylor-Johnson being the next James Bond?
