Could The Sinister Six Be Coming To The MCU? SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME Producer Teases The Possibility
Remember when Sony Pictures was trying to set up the Sinister Six with the Marc Webb directed Amazing Spider-Man films? They didn’t end up working out. Instead, those films ended up being canceled and Marvel Studios swooped in to save the franchise.
Well, it looks like there’s a chance that the Sinister Six could end up being introduced in the MCU. Spider-Man: Far From Home producer Amy Pascal made a point of pointing out that most of the villains that have been introduced have been a part of the Sinister Six at one point or another in the comics. She went on to tease that something could happen with that. She explained in one of the featurettes for Far From Home:
"These villains we now have in our universe happen to be characters that are in the Sinister Six. There may be something that happens with that.”
It would be pretty interesting to see how Marvel would handle the Sinister Six, but who knows… that might not happen until after Sony ends up taking Spider-Man back. We are getting two more films with Spider-Man under Marvel’s watchful eye. After that, who knows what to expect.
At one point, Drew Goddard (Cabin in the Woods) was developing a Sinister Six movie, but I’m pretty sure Goddard has moved on from that.
What do you think? Would you like to see the Sinister Six introduced into the MCU?
