Courteney Cox Confirms She Will Return for SCREAM 6 and She Has the Script

Not long after the fifth Scream film hit theaters as was a success, Paramount Pictures announced that they were going to move forward with Scream 6.

The directing team Radio Silence, which consists of Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, will return to helm the sequel along with writers James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick.

At the time of the announcement, there were no details on the story or which actors would return. But it was safe to assume that Neve Campbell and Courteney Cox would return. Well, Cox has confirmed that she will return for the next film in the franchise and she already has the completed script in hand.

During a recent interview with the Variety podcast, the actress shared, "I got the script yesterday. I haven't read it yet, I just got it... I'm excited to read it, and I know they're gonna start filming I think in June, in Canada. I don't know if I'm supposed to say anything. Let me tell you the killer!"

I imagine we’ll see a few other familiar faces from the franchise, and I expect Campbell will once again join in on the murderous fun. But will the stars of the most recent film, Melissa Barrera as Sam and Jenna Ortega as Tara, return? Only time will tell.

With the sixth film starting production in June, I imagine more details on the film will be revealed soon.
