COWBOY BEBOP Fan Art Images John Cho as Spike

Last week fans were extremely excited to learn that John Cho (Star Trek, Searching) would be taking on the role of Spike Spiegel in Netflix’s live-action series adaption of the classic anime series Cowboy Bebop.

Today we have a piece of cool fan art to share with you from artist Nikki Dawes. It shows us what Cho could look like in the role, and I think some fans will dig it.

Cowboy Bebop is the “jazz-inspired, genre-bending story of Spike Spiegel, Jet Black, Faye Valentine, and Radical Ed: a rag-tag crew of bounty hunters on the run from their pasts as they hunt down the solar system’s most dangerous criminals. They’ll even save the world…for the right price.”

Cho’s character Spike is described as “an impossibly cool bounty hunter with a deadly smile, a wry wit, and style to spare. He travels the solar system with his ex-cop partner, Jet, pursuing the future’s most dangerous bounties with a combination of charm, charisma — and deadly Jeet Kune Do.”

Cho will be joined by Mustafa Shakir (Luke Cage) as Jet Black, Daniella Pineda (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom) as Faye Valentine, and Alex Hassell (Suburbicon) as Vicious.

The first season of the Cowboy Bebop series will consist of ten episodes. Christopher Yost is involved as a writer and executive producer. He previously worked on Thor: Ragnarok, Thor: The Dark World, Star Wars Rebels, Hulk Vs, X-Men: Evolution, The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, and more.

Are you looking forward to this live-action Cowboy Bebop series?
