Craig Robinson to Star in Comedy Series KILLING IT From BROOKLYN NINE-NINE Creators at Peacock
Craig Robinson, known for his role as Darryl on The Office, as well as his roles in the Hot Tub Time Machine movies and his recurring parts on The Cleveland Show and Brooklyn Nine-Nine, is set to star in the upcoming comedy series Killing It from the creators of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Dan Goor and Luke Del Tredici. THR reports that the comedy series “explores class, capitalism and one man's quest to achieve the American dream. And also about hunting really big snakes.”
Goor and Del Tredici will write the script for the series and will executive produce alongside Robinson. The series has a script-to-series commitment from the streaming service Peacock and is expected to get a series order if execs like the written episodes that are submitted.
Beside Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Goor also wrote and produced on Parks and Recreation, and Del Tredici wrote and produced for 30 Rock, so they are no strangers to making great comedy series. This is a really fun project to look forward to, as well as Goor’s “single-camera comedy Grand Crew in the works as a pilot for NBC that is expected to film when it's safe sometime in the fall.”
