Crazy-Ass Footage From Sam Raimi's Alligator Horror Movie CRAWL Screened at CinemaCon

Horror filmmaker Sam Raimi teamed up with horror director Alexandre Aja to develop one hell of a crazy horror movie idea called Crawl.

The movie is about a father and daughter who, in the middle of raging hurricane, are trapped in a house flooded with water and is filled with alligators! This is the situation that these two character have to survive and it’s complete and utter madness!

The movie stars Berry Pepper and Kaya Scodelario as father and daughter who are trapped in the house and they are trying to survive a bunch of hungry alligators that are looking to chomp down on them.

The footage that was screened was pretty brutal and gnarly stuff that horror fans will find delightful. It opened with Kaya Scodelario’s character racing through a hurricane to her father’s house. She assumes she’ll be safe from from the storm with her dad, because Berry Pepper is a badass and it’s great to see him in a new movie.

But, as you might image the whole thing turns into a complete nightmare. The house starts flooding and the gators make their way in. By the time she gets to the house her dad had already been attacked by one. From there the trailer kicks into high gear and there we see shot after shot of gator insanity and Kaya and Berry are doing everything they can to survive like jumping around on furniture to avoid being eaten.

The footage ends with Kaya hiding in a glass shower as water is flooding the room. Obviously, one of the gators sees her and has to attack her.

Yes, the movie sounds very cheesy and very silly and it totally is, but in the best way possible! This movie knows exactly what it is and you can tell that the filmmakers had a ton of fun making it!

 I’ll be looking forward to seeing the movie when it’s released on July 12, 2019.
