Crazy Trailer For The Korean Horror Series PARASYTE: THE GREY Based on Popular Manga

Netflix has released the first trailer for its live-action horror series Parasyte: The Grey, which comes from Korea and is helmed by Yeon Sang-ho, the director behind Train to Busan and Hellbound. The series is based on Hitoshi Iwaaki's original manga Parasyte: The Maxim, which initially launched back in 1989.

Parasyte: The Grey is a new take on the manga series, and the story is set in Korea and it will feature a lot of new characters within a brand new story. In the story, “When unidentified parasites violently take over human hosts and gain power, humanity must rise to combat the growing threat.”

The new series will include updated takes on the alien monsters in the story, and as you’ll see in the trailer they look pretty freakin’ gnarly! This looks like it’s going to be a great and wild show!

The series was written by Ryu Yong-jae and Jeon So-nee will be starring as Jeong Su-in, the main character who finds herself taken over by one of the alien parasites. However, she is able to keep her human mind under control. The series also stars Koo Kyo-hwan as Seol Kang-woo, Lee Jung-hyun as Choi Jun-kyung, and Kwon Hae-hyo and Kim In-kwon.

Enjoy the trailer! There’s no release date for the series set yet.
