Creatures Cause Pleasure in Weird Trailer For The Japanese Sci-Fi Horror Comedy EXTRANEOUS MATTER
Here’s a trailer for a super weird Japanese indie sci-fi horror comedy titled Extraneous Matter. The film centers on strange creatures that cause people to feel a heightened sense of pleasure.
In the film, “Mysterious, octopus-like aliens appear out of the blue in people's homes and trigger a heightened sense of pleasure in them. Soon the whole of Japan is littered with the tingling creatures and they can be found on every street corner. They have long been part of everyday life when their explosive proliferation takes a dramatic turn. A genre-mix jewel created from a short series with absurd humor, filmed in atmospheric black-and-white images and accompanied by fantastic music.”
In the story, "The extraneous matter" (strange tentacled creatures), appear out of nowhere in front of two couples who are not getting along, former lovers, and factory workers and affects their thoughts and lives.”
Extraneous Matter is written and directed by Ken'ichi Ugana, and the film stars Kaoru Koide, Shunsuke Tanaka, Nina Sakura, Megumi Haruno, Adone Kudo, and Rino. The filmmaker describes the film as "existential arthouse sci-fi comedy hentai."
The movie is set to be released direct-to-VOD on March 26th, 2024.
