CREED II and SHANG-CHI Actor Florian Munteanu Joins Netflix's VIKINGS: VALHALLA

Florian Munteanu, who is best known for his work on Creed II and Shang-Chi is the latest to join the cast of Netflix’s Vikings: Valhalla. He will take on the role of George Maniakes, “a real-life general of the Byzantine Empire who answers only to The Emir.” Munteanu is going to fit perfectly in the world of Vikings.

A month after the first season of the series premiered, it was renewed for a second and third season. Netflix obviously likes the ratings the show is getting and is confident that it will be able to hold those ratings. It’s an awesome show, and if you haven’t watched it yet, you should!

The series is set in the early 11th century and it “chronicles the legendary adventures of some of the most famous Vikings who ever lived – Leif Eriksson, Freydis Eriksdotter, Harald Hardrada, and the Norman King William the Conqueror. These men and women will blaze a path as they fight for survival in the ever-changing and evolving world.”

Munteanu joins the main cast which includes Sam Corlett, Frida Gustavsson, Leo Suter, Bradley Freegard, Jóhannes Jóhannesson, Laura Berlin, David Oakes, and Caroline Henderson.

Vikings: Valhalla is produced by MGM Television. Jeb Stuart, Michael Hirst, Morgan O’Sullivan, James Flynn, Sherry Marsh, Alan Gasmer, Sheila Hockin, and John Weber are executive producers. Stuart also serves as showrunner and writer.
