CREED III Featurette Puts a Focus on the Story and Michael B. Jordan's Directorial Debut
Micheal B. Jordan steps into the director’s chair for Creed III and he’s looking to raise the bar for the franchise and take it to the next level. In this new featurette, Jordan and the cast open up about the story that the movie is going to tell and the characters in it. It also focuses on Jordan directing the film.
Jonathan Majors explains that Jordan was looking to honor the legacy of Rocky with this movie, but that he also wanted to do something different, and a big part of that was introducing the new character Damian, who is a mysterious character from Creed’s past that he’s never talked about.
The video also offers up new footage from the movie! The synopsis for the film reads:
After dominating the boxing world, Adonis Creed (Jordan) has been thriving in both his career and family life. When a childhood friend and former boxing prodigy, Damian (Majors), resurfaces after serving a long sentence in prison, he is eager to prove that he deserves his shot in the ring. The face off between former friends is more than just a fight. To settle the score, Adonis must put his future on the line to battle Damian – a fighter who has nothing to lose.
The rest of the cast includes Tessa Thompson, Wood Harris, Florian Munteanu, and Phylicia Rashad, as well as new cast members Selenis Leyva, Thaddeus J. Mixson, Spence Moore II, Mila Davis-Kent, and Canelo Álvarez.
