Creepy Fun Trailer For THE RITUAL Features a Group of Friends Who Will Regret Walking Into a Forest of Norse Legend
"Your darkest dreams await you..."
Another day, another movie about a group of friends that venture into the woods where awful and nightmarish things await them. Yeah, this kind of movie is a dime a dozen, but this one actually looks really good! Netflix produced the film, and after watching this trailer, I can't wait to check it out.
It's movies like this that make going camping and exploring in strange mysterious woods and other places so exciting! You think I'm joking, but I love exploring stuff like this in real life! If I came across woods like this with crazy markings on the trees I'd be the first to run in and starting exploring. I haven't been killed by any creatures or anything yet, so that's a plus!
The Ritual was directed by David Bruckner, who helmed segments in the horror films Southbound, V/H/S, and The Signal.
Reuniting after the tragic death of their best mate, four old friends from university set out to hike through the Scandinavian wilderness. But a wrong turn leads them into the dark and mysterious forests of Norse legend, where an ancient evil still exists and stalks them at every turn.
The Ritual is based on a 2011 British horror novel by Adam Nevill and stars Rafe Spall, Arsher Ali, Robert James-Collier, and Sam Troughton.
The Ritual arrives on Netflix February 9, 2018.
