Nightmarish Trailer For a "Cursed Video" Found Footage Horror Movie Titled INCANTATION
Netflix has released a trailer for a Taiwanese found footage horror film titled Incantation, and it’s being marketed as a “cursed video.” This is the warning that it comes with: “This is a cursed video, it might contain certain risks to watch; For those who dare to follow, please solve the puzzle of my daughter’s curse with me.”
It’s explained that six years ago, “Li Ronan was cursed after breaking a religious taboo. Now, she must protect her daughter from the consequences of her actions. This found footage film is inspired by a true story.”
The movie was directed by Kevin Ko (Invitation Only), and THR said that Incantation in the “scariest Taiwanese film ever.” At some points in the film, the actors break the fourth wall to address the audience.
I’m not really a fan of found footage movies, but this one actually looks like it could be good. It seems like there is some solid and terrifying production value that will freak audiences out!
Incantation will be released on Netflix on July 8th, 2022.
