Creepy Trailer for Netflix's SOMETHING VERY BAD IS GOING TO HAPPEN Teases an Unsettling Wedding Horror Series

Netflix has released the full trailer for Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen, a creepy new horror mini-series that turns a wedding celebration into something far more disturbing.

The show comes from one of the directors behind Baby Reindeer, and it leans hard into slow-building dread as a couple prepares to tie the knot… while the bride becomes convinced that something terrible is on the way.

The story centers on Rachel (Camila Morrone) and her fiancé Nicky (Adam DiMarco), who are just days away from getting married. With only five days until the ceremony, the couple heads out on a road trip to Nicky’s family vacation home tucked away in a snowy forest. The idea is to hold a small, intimate wedding surrounded by family.

Sounds nice, right? Except Rachel can’t shake the feeling that something awful is coming.

Prone to superstition and anxiety, Rachel starts noticing strange coincidences and unsettling behavior from the people around her. The closer the wedding gets, the more her fears grow. Is she imagining things… or is there truly something wrong with Nicky’s family?

The series plays with a fascinating horror concept tied to marriage itself. If Carrie explores the horror of becoming a woman and Rosemary’s Baby deals with the nightmare of becoming a mother, Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen frames its terror around the idea of becoming a wife.

Rachel’s growing paranoia leads her to question everything about her relationship and the people she’s about to join for life.

The show’s cast also includes Jeff Wilbusch, Karla Crome, Gus Birney, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Ted Levine, and Sawyer Fraser.

The series was created and showrun by Haley Z. Boston, who previously wrote for Brand New Cherry Flavor, Hunters, and the “The Outside” episode of Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities. Episodes are directed by Weronika Tofilska (Baby Reindeer), Axelle Carolyn, and Lisa Brühlmann.

It’s produced by Upside Down Pictures with executive producers The Duffer Brothers, Boston, Hilary Leavitt, Andrea Sperling, and Tofilska.

The series premieres on Netflix on March 26th, 2026, and if the trailer is any indication, this wedding isn’t going to go according to plan.
