CRITICAL ROLE Adds New Stretch Goals After Reaching $5 Million on Kickstarter in Less Than 2 Days
If you’re a Critter (the name for people in the Critical Role fandom), you should be mighty proud of yourself and your fandom. In less than two days, you have raised over $5 million for the animated special The Legend of Vox Machina. Your response has shocked everyone at Critical Role and the world as people are trying to figure out why this Dungeons & Dragons thing has earned so much so quickly. In response to your overwhelming response, the lovely people at Critical Role have updated their stretch goals, and it includes transforming The Legend of Vox Machina into a series. After the first few episodes which will serve as a prequel, the series will transition into the Briarwoods arc from the stream. Here’s a quick summary of that story:
“The story so far… Vox Machina arrive in Percy’s hometown, Whitestone, to avenge the murder of his family and the corruption of his city at the hands of the evil Briarwoods. Danger and betrayal lurk around every corner, and it will take all of Vox Machina’s abilities to combat this deadly threat. The Briarwoods arc began in episode 24 of our first streamed campaign, and remains one of our absolute favorites. ”
