CRITICAL ROLE Bring the Mighty Nein Back for Special Theatrical 2-Parter
Critical Role are currently in their third campaign, telling the story of Bells Hells. However, the team recently announced that they’ll be making a brief return to the characters from the second campaign, The Mighty Nein. In a special two-part theatrical event, The Mighty Nein Reunited will feature the cast and characters that so many fell in love with months after the events in Cognouza. Part one of the event will be aired on November 17 with a simulcast to select Cinemark theaters and then part two will follow on December 1. International screenings will be occurring one day after the domestic ones. Of course, if you are unable (or you just don’t want) to go to a theater, you can watch both episodes at your favorite locations via Critical Role’s Twitch and YouTube.
[T[he two-part special takes place several months after the events in Cognouza, when our unsung heroes of The Mighty Nein have started new chapters in their lives. However, when some discover that there are still old chapters yet to be closed, our heroes will need to reunite for more stories untold…
The Mighty Nein Reunited will star Matthew Mercer (Overwatch), Ashley Johnson (The Last of Us), Marisha Ray (Final Fantasy XV), Taliesin Jaffe (Final Fantasy XIV), Travis Willingham (Marvel’s Avengers), Sam Riegel (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), Laura Bailey (The Last of Us: Part II), and Liam O'Brien (Star Wars: The Bad Batch). Sharing his excitement for the partnership, Justin McDaniel of Cinemark shared:
Cinemark is pleased to build on our relationship with Critical Role and bring The Mighty Nein Reunited to our immersive auditoriums in the U.S. and South America, expanding the gaming and actual play experiences we bring to our big screens. Critters have been resoundingly enthusiastic about experiencing Critical Role’s worlds come to life in our shared, cinematic environment, and we are excited to give them another opportunity to witness the action together.
Tickets are on sale now and you can check availability via the Cinemark app or the website. Are you going to the theater for this one? How pumped are you to see the return of The Mighty Nein?
