CROCODILE DUNDEE's Paul Hogan To Star in THE VERY EXCELLENT MR. DUNDEE!
Paul Hogan, the star of the hit Crocodile Dundee films, is set to star in a new feature film comedy called The Very Excellent Mr. Dundee!. Now, before you get too excited, this isn't going to be a sequel to the classic 80s films, but it still sounds like it will be an entertaining movie!
According to Deadline, the film "sees Hogan playing himself and on the brink of receiving a Knighthood for services to comedy. ‘Don’t do anything to mess this up’, his manager tells him, according to the plot line. However, despite all his best efforts, the next six weeks sees his name and reputation destroyed."
I know a lot of fans were hoping to eventually see a sequel to Crocodile Dundee, especially after that fun Super Bowl spot, Dundee: The Son of a Legend Returns home. But, it looks like we're getting the next best thing!
There's no word on any of the supporting cast members, Hogan said, "to watch this space as I’ve been honored to have many of my friends and colleagues, whose work I adore, agree to join us for this hilarious new adventure."
The film will be directed by Dean Murphy (Charlie & Boots) and it will be set in Los Angeles. The film starts production in July with shooting taking place in Australia, Los Angeles and Vancouver.
