Case Closed is a fun detective anime that some fans may know as Detective Conan. The anime features a high school detective genius that gets trapped in the body of an elementary school kid. It’s really fun, but it can get pretty dark.

Well, Crunchyroll recently revealed that they have added the first 42 episodes of the long-running series, so fans can finally watch the series from the very beginning as long as they don’t mind watching subbed anime.

The son of a world famous mystery writer, Shinichi Kudo, has achieved his own notoriety by assisting the local police as a student detective. He has always been able to solve the most difficult of criminal cases using his wits and power of reason.

Masami Tokunaga, Senior Vice President of TMS Entertainment USA, Inc. said in a statement:

“We are so excited to finally be able to introduce Case Closed to anime fans who reside in countries that previously were not able to watch the series. And for many Case Closed devotees who currently enjoy the simulcast episodes of Case Closed, we hope that these episodes of Detective Conan’s early adventures add further enjoyment to the long-running series. We hope that this brings joy to Case Closed fans both old and new around the world. You’ll see whole lot more of Detective Conan as we have a master plan laid out for the great detective this year.”
