Crunchyroll Announces English Voice Cast and SimulDub for TOMO-CHAN IS A GIRL!

Crunchyroll recently announced that the upcoming rom-com anime series Tomo-chan Is a Girl! will be available to stream in the English dub day and date with the Japanese broadcast. The first episode will premiere on January 4 at 10 AM PST. In addition, the English voice cast was revealed with some great talent lined up. Lexi Nieto (One Piece Film Red) will be voicing Tomo Aizawa, Ricco Fajardo (Black Clover) will voice Junichiro Kubota, Jād Saxton (Fairy Tail) will voice Misuzu Gundo, Sally Amaki (Kaguya-sama: Love Is War) will be voicing Carol Olston, Christopher Llewyn Ramirez (Horimiya) will voice Tatsumi Tanabe, and Ciarán Strange (Aoashi) will voice Kosuke Misaki. Caitlin Glass will be leading the team as ADR Director for the English dub and other language dubs will be available at a later date.

Tomboy Tomo couldn’t have picked a more awkward high school crush ’cause it’s on her childhood friend, Junichiro, but he only sees her as one of the guys. Despite her pretty looks and signals, nothing gets through to this meathead! Will Junichiro ever realize Tomo’s into him and see her for the cutesy girl she actually is?!

The original manga that the series was based on was written and illustrated by Fumita Yanagida. The anime adaptation is being written by Megumi Shimizu with character design by Shiori Hiraiwa, art direction and background art by Kenichi Tatefuji, music composed by Masaru Yokoyama, and animation by Lay-duce. Hitoshi Nanba is directing the series.
