Crunchyroll Developing Its First Original Anime Series
One of anime's largest streaming services, Crunchyroll, is looking to get into the genre itself with an original anime series. In a move similar to Netflix's successful launch of original content, the company seeks to create a product exclusive to their platform with international appeal.
As to what that means right now we have no idea, but Crunchyroll is famously known for its lack of dubbing on shows so whatever they develop will almost certainly be voiced entirely in Japanese. Of course, there's a first time for everything considering this is new territory, but dub fans might be let down by the finished project if they're going in this assuming an English version will be made.
