CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM's Jeff Garlin Will Appear in STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER

Jeff Garlin, best known for his roles in Curb Your Enthusiasm and The Goldbergs, is surprisingly going to appear in J.J. AbramsStar Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Garlin is a pretty funny comedian, and I would have never expected to see him in a Star Wars movie.

The news comes from the actor himself, and he talked about it while a guest on Podcast: The Ride. After one of the hosts brings up R2-D2 and C-3PO during the conversation, Garlin says, “You know I’m in the new Star Wars.” The host already knew that he was in the movie and responds with, “I thought that was a secret,” to which Garlin responded, “I guess it is, but I don’t have any lines.” He then added:

“I’m one of those people that’s in it, and you go, ‘Who’s that? That looks–because I think people will know that it’s me…I’m not gonna tell the tell, I don’t want to do that. But I am in it. I work with the [C-3PO] guy, who, by the way, wears the outfit literally. He’s a very proper, very kind gentleman. But he takes it very seriously. Crazy seriously […] He was very focused and serious.”

Garlin went on to joke that he did a lot to distract everyone and “fuck things up.” He explained that since he’s such a big guy, he takes up a lot of screen space, and if he moved slightly in a shot, director J.J. Abrams would have to tell him how he can and can’t move.

Oh, and in case you’re wondering, there might be an action figure of his character. Garlin said that his body was scanned so that an action figure could be made.

What do you all think about Jeff Garlin joining the Star Wars universe? It’ll be cool to see who he ends up playing.
