CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM's Jeff Schaffer Developing New Comedy BLOW UP THE CHAT
Curb Your Enthusiasm’s Jeff Schaffer is set to direct a new comedy film titled Blow Up the Chat, which is in development at Warner Bros.
The story centers on a group of best friends whose “private and wildly inappropriate, year-long group chat is hacked, which risks upending their individual lives and friendship with one another.”
Well, that sounds like a great concept that could make for an extremely funny film if they manage to write a strong comedic script, which is coming from writers Amos Vernon and Nunzio Randazzo.
Schaffer is best known for showrunning, executive producing and directing HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm, which just came to an end after 12 seasons. He also co-created FX’s acclaimed Lil Dicky comedy Dave, as well as FX’s The League, which ran for seven seasons.
Schaffer also previously directed the DreamWorks sex comedy EuroTrip, and worked on Sacha Baron Cohen’s The Dictator and Brüno, and more.
