CYBERPUNK 2077: PHANTOM LIBERTY Launches This September

During the Xbox Game Showcase over the weekend, CD Projekt Red announced that Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty will be launching this September. Fans got a new trailer showing off new characters like Idris Elba’s Solomon Reed, key story beats, returning characters like Keanu Reeves’ Johnny Silverhand, and more. I really enjoyed my time playing in Night City in the base game of Cyberpunk 2077 and this trailer is tons of hype for the full fledged expansion.

In Phantom Liberty, players once again take on the role of V, a cyberpunk for hire, as they embark on a mission to save the President of the New United States of America after her orbital shuttle is shot down over the deadliest district of Night City — Dogtown. What follows is a deep dive into an intricate story of espionage and political intrigue which connects the highest echelons of power with the brutal world of black-market mercenaries. The stakes are larger than life, but so is the reward — your very survival.

Gamers will get to enjoy “a hard-hitting spy-thriller adventure” that brings us to a new location called Dogtown. Netrunners will also be able to enjoy new gig types, vehicles, weapons, tech, and more as well as a Relic skill tree to shape your V even more. You’ll be able to enjoy Phantom Liberty on September 26 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S (affiliate link) with pre-orders now open.

If the trailer isn’t enough, Narrative Director Igor Sarzyński and Senior Communication Manager Paweł Burza took a deep dive into the trailer for all the details. Are you excited to revisit Night City?
