Dad Builds an Impressive Looking STAR WARS Snowspeeder Out of Cardboard For His Daughter
As a father of three girls, I'm always trying to do cool and fun things to bring joy and happiness into their lives. I've built them cardboard forts before, but now I have to up my game thanks to John Stoddard, who built an awesome Snowspeeder from Empire Strikes Back out of cardboard for his 6-year-old daughter. As you can see, this thing turned out pretty impressive.
The snowspeeder was made for his daughter's annual school "drive-in" movie event, where families bring in homemade geeky vehicles for an outdoor screening on the final day of school. Sounds like fun!
The snowspeeder was built out of old refrigerator boxes, Cuisinart boxes and other scrap pieces of cardboard. It was assembled using lots of duct tape, glue and gummed tape. The cannons were made from discarded carpet tubes. It was then painted gray and John’s wife added all the paint details.
