Doug Liman's Sci-Fi Film CHAOS WALKING With Daisy Ridley and Tom Holland Gets a Release Date

We finally have a release date for director Doug Liman's (Edge of Tomorrow) adaptation of the young adult science fiction series Chaos Walking. Lionsgate announced that the first film in a possible Chaos Walking franchise will be released on March 1, 2019. Daisy Ridley (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) and Tom Holland (Spider-Man: Homecoming) are set to start in the film.  

The film is based on a script by author Patrick NessEternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind writer Charlie Kaufman, and The Blind Side director John Lee Hancock. Shooting is set to start next month, with Holland wrapping on Avengers: Infinity War and Ridley in a break period between Star Wars sequels.

Here's the synopsis:

The Carnegie Medal winning books are set in a dystopian future with humans colonizing a distant earth-like planet. When an infection called the Noise suddenly makes all thought audible, privacy vanishes in an instant. In the ensuing chaos, a corrupt autocrat threatens to take control of the human settlements and wage war with the indigenous alien race, and only young Todd Hewitt holds the key to stopping planet wide-destruction.
