Daisy Ridley Says There Are New Characters in the Next STAR WARS Movie, but Probably No Kids for Rey
We are getting a new Star Wars movie with a speculated title, previously confirmed to be Star Wars: New Jedi Order, and now rumored to include an Episode X in the title, indicating yet another trilogy within the Star Wars film universe. We will see how all that pans out, but for now, star of the film Daisy Ridley, who is returning to play Rey Skywalker, is giving fans a tease about the new characters in the film, and who she believes that will not entail.
The actress told Deadline, “I would say she probably doesn’t have children seeing she’s a Jedi. Literally what I know is what was announced last year, I’m waiting to read a script. I know bits and bobs. I know there’s an introduction of new characters. I don’t know about previous characters,” she admitted.
Specifically, Ridley doesn’t know yet if the voice of Kylo Ren will be taunting Rey in her head. Meaning, it’s not clear if we’ll be getting Adam Driver reprising a blue ghost of his dark side guy.
Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy will direct the New Jedi Order, which will be set fifteen years after the events of The Rise of Skywalker. All we know about the story so far is that Rey will be a "powerful Jedi master" running her own training academy.
Which characters are you hoping to see return to this new saga?
