Daisy Ridley to Play Real Life Spy in J.J. Abrams-Produced A WOMAN OF NO IMPORTANCE

Star Wars: The Force Awakens star Dasiy Ridley has landed another lead role in a new film set up at Paramount Pictures called A Woman of No Importance. J.J. Abrams is producing the film, which is based on the biography of Virgina Hall, who was an American heiress and a super-spy.

The movie will be based on a book written by Sonia Purnell and will tell the story of how Hall "attempted to break into the ranks of the American Foreign Service in the years before World War II. Rejected because of gender and a disability — she lost part of her leg in a hunting accident — Hall worked during the war for the British intelligence unit SOE. She later joined the OSS, the forerunner of the CIA."

Sounds like a fascinating woman, and it seems like her life during this time could make a great film. This is going to be a solid role for Ridley to take on, and I'm sure she'll be fantastic in it.

Ridley recently completed shooting Star Wars: The Last Jedi, she's currently shooting the Murder On The Orient Express remake at Fox, and she's also attached to star in a film called Chaos Walking at Lionsgate.
