Damon Lindelof To Develop The WATCHMEN Series For HBO

HBO and DC Entertainment are moving forward with a series adaptation of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons' classic graphic novel Watchmen. According to Variety, the network is going to bring on Damon Lindelof to develop the series. He most recently developed the HBO series The Leftovers, which he did a great job with. HBO obviously liked working with him!

This is the second attempt that HBO is making to develop the series. The first time they tried to do it was back in 2014. Then in 2015, Zack Snyder met with HBO for possible involvement with the series but nothing ever came of it. As you know, Snyder directed the 2009 adaptation, which, in my opinion, ended up being a great movie.

According to the report, Lindelof will start from scratch on the project and not use any of the previous work that was done for the show.

Since his time working on Lost, Lindelof has gained a following of both fans and haters for the projects he's worked on. I personally think he's a talented writer and I'm looking forward to seeing what he does with Watchmen. I hope that he gives fans of Watchmen a series that they'll love.

What do you think about Lindelof adapting Watchmen as a TV series?
