Whether you’re wanting to try out Dungeons & Dragons or you are wanting to introduce some new friends, there are two fantastic tools to help. The Starter Set is available with pre-made character sheets, some dice, a blank character sheet, basic rules, and the adventure Lost Mine of Phandelver. I have played this adventure and it is a lot of fun. Right now, you can grab the Starter Set for only $12.52 from Amazon.

A second option is the newer Essentials Kit. This kit comes with a DM Screen, a new design for the rulebook that “on-boards players by teaching them how to make characters,” blank character sheets, dice, cards for magic items and more, a poster map, the Dragon of Icespire Peak adventure, and new sidekick rules for 1-on-1 sessions, and codes for D&D Beyond. While you can currently only grab the Essentials Kit from Target in-store for $24.99, it is available for pre-order through Amazon for $18.99 right now (it is scheduled to release on September 3).
