Dan Aykroyd Wants To Bring Back GHOSTBUSTERS As A Live-Action Netflix Show

Ghostbusters is a franchise that has a very loyal and large following since it came to audiences in 1984. And even though a recent reboot didn't live up to expectations, Ghostbusters co-creator Dan Aykroyd doesn’t want the franchise to die.

In a recent interview with CinemaBlend, Aykroyd discussed whether there was any interest in bringing Ghostbusters back as a live-action Netflix series:

“Yes. Absolutely. Sure. Sure. I can see several possibilities there. You know? Take a cue from these guys in Stranger Things and maybe have the Ghostbusters in high school or something.”

Not exactly the answer anyone would have expected. I think it's pretty safe to assume that the idea of Ghostbusters in High School isn't something that excites many. In some ways it might feel too much like Stranger Things, especially since in the new trailer we actually see some of the characters dressed as Ghostbusters for Halloween.

What do you think of Aykroyd's comments?  Would you want a Ghostbusters Netflix series, even if it meant seeing a bunch of awkward teens fight spooks?
