Danai Gurira is in Talks To Join GODZILLA VS. KONG and STAR TREK 4

Danai Gurira (The Walking Dead, Black Panther) is circling a couple big movie projects! Deadline reports that she is in early talks to join Legendary Picture's Godzilla vs. Kong. If cast, she will join Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things, Godzilla: King of the Monsters) and Julian Dennison (Deadpool 2, The Hunt for the Wilder People) in the 2020 Adam Wingard-directed movie.

She is also looking at joining Paramount Picture's Star Trek 4, which will be directed by S.J. Clarkson (The Defenders). She will be the first woman ever to direct a Star Trek film and the next adventure of the Enterprise crew will include a time travel story that will bring Captain James T. Kirk face to face with his father, and Chris Hemsworth will be back to reprise his role.

There's no information on who Gurira will play in either of these films, but she's a great actress and either project would be lucky to have her if things worked out.
