Dane DeHaan Joins Christopher Nolan's OPPENHEIMER
Dane DeHaan (A Cure For Wellness, The Amazing Spider-Man 2) has joined the cast of director Christopher Nolan’s upcoming World War II film Oppenheimer.
DeHaan will star alongside Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt, Florence Pugh, Robert Downey Jr., Matt Damon, Rami Malek, Benny Safdie and Josh Hartnett.
The movie centers on J. Robert Oppenheimer, the scientist who ran the Manhattan Project that led to the invention of the atomic bomb. The film has been described as an “epic thriller that thrusts audiences into the pulse-pounding paradox of the enigmatic man who must risk destroying the world in order to save it.”
The film is based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning book American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer by Kai Bird and the late Martin J. Sherwin. Murphy is playing Oppenheimer, and Blunt will play his wife. There are no other details on who any of the other cast members are playing.
DeHaan’s character has not been revealed. The film is set to be released in theaters on July 21, 2023.
