Last week, Adult Swim released an amazing live-action promo spot for a Rick and Morty promo spot featuring Christopher Lloyd as Rick and Jaeden Lieberher as his Morty. That has been followed by other live-action promos. This is so damn cool, but things would have been a lot different because SVP of Action and Anime with Warnermedia and Toonami co-creator Jason DeMarco revealed that they originally asked Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe to play Morty!

Radcliffe was his first choice to take on the role, but Radcliffe turned it down, and DeMarco is happy that he did. He calls it a wise decision. DeMarco shared on Twitter:

"I originally wanted Daniel Radcliffe as Morty, because I know he’s a huge fan. [B]ut he (wisely) turned us down. A wise man. It was an idea that sounded good on paper but wouldn’t have worked at all."

DeMarco then confirmed that this promo is the last of the live-action Rick and Morty efforts… for now. So, who knows! I hope that we see more of Lloyd and Lieberher as Rick and Morty at some point in the future! They just can’t give us something like that and say, “Ok, that’s it! No more!”
