Danny DeVito Says TWINS 2 Isn't Happening, But He Hopes THROW MAMA FROM THE TRAIN Sequel Might

Danny DeVito has been headlining TV shows and movies for decades, bringing us so many comedic performances to enjoy, and now he’s weighing in on which ones he may or may not return to. There were rumors for years that DeVito and his co-star and friend Arnold Schwarzenegger might reunite to make a sequel to their 1988 comedy Twins, but DeVito says that idea died when Schwarzenegger became governor of California.

In a recent interview with GQ, DeVito claimed that Schwarzenegger’s priorities changed when he entered politics.

“Arnold [Schwarzenegger] and I want to work together. We missed Twins 2, because he became governor — which, he should have done Twins 2 instead of becoming governor. Now we have a little thing going, a little project that we’ve been chatting about.”

The plans have nothing to do with Twins. “No, it’s just two friends, two guys, because we have a good time together,” DeVito said. “We complement each other in a lot of ways. I am way stronger than he is.”

DeVito also said he and Billy Crystal at one point were working on a sequel to their 1987 comedy, Throw Momma From the Train, that was going to be titled Throw Papa From the Train. Though that project isn’t moving forward yet, DeVito holds out hope that he and Crystal still “want to work together again” in the future.

I don’t think either of these movies necessarily need a sequel, but I’d be happy to see these reunions happen in new movies! This is a funny group of actors, and I’d love to see them make a new comedy together.
