Movie composer Danny Elfman is coming back to play with another Marvel project. He has jumped on board director Sam Raimi’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness!

This won’t be the first time that Elman and Raimi work together on a Marvel film; Elfman also scored all three of Raimi’s Spider-Man movies, so this is a wonderful and welcome reunion. I loved those Spider-Man movies and Elfman’s musical scores for them were great! Elfman and Raimi also worked together on films such as Darkman and Oz The Great and Powerful.

Elfman shared the news of his involvement himself during an interview with Inverse, and he also revealed that he has already started prepping for the film:

"I am starting to do bits of pre-work for Doctor Strange 2 that Sam Raimi's directing. Even though I don't start it for some months, there's bits of recorded music they need for the sets."

It’s pretty cool to see Elfman and Raimi working together again on a Marvel movie and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is a perfect fit for each of them. I’m super excited about seeing how this project turns out, especially with seeing how Marvel’s WandaVision series is currently setting it all up!

What do you all think of Danny Elfman scoring Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness?
