Danny Glover Joins Hulu's LOCKE AND KEY

Original Lethal Weapon star Danny Glover has officially joined the cast of Hulu's highly anticipated adaptation of IDW graphic novel Locke and Key. THR reports that Jack Mulhern is also joining the Carlton Cuse pilot.

Locke and Key focuses around three siblings who, after the gruesome murder of their father, move to their ancestral home in Maine only to find the house has magical keys that give them powers. What they don't know is that a demon also wants the keys, and will stop at nothing to attain them.

Glover will play Joe Ridgeway, the eccentric English teacher at Matheson Academy who becomes a mentor to the Locke children and a friend to Nina, but he also knows some of the tragic secrets Rendell kept from his family.

Glover's role is not a series regular and may be as small as a cameo.

Mulhern, meanwhile, will play Tyler Locke, the oldest son of Rendell and Nina and a protective older brother to his siblings. This is Mulhern's first role since graduating college.

Frances O'Connor, Megan Charpentier, Jackson Robert, and Nate Corddry are all set to star in the series.

Comic book creator Hill and Cuse (Lost, Bates Motel, The Strain) are collaborating on the script for the hourlong pilot. Cuse will executive produce alongside It director Andy Muschietti.
