Danny Ramirez Joins Marvel's THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER in Pivotal Role
Marvel Studios has added Danny Ramirez (Assassination Nation, Top Gun: Maverick) to the cast of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, which is currently in the middle of production.
He will join returning Marvel actors Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Daniel Bruhl and Emily VanCamp, as well as universe newcomer Wyatt Russell.
There’s no word on who Ramirez will be playing, but according to the report, he will play a pivotal role in the story.
Mackie is back as Sam Wilson/Falcon, and Stan also returns as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier. The mismatched pair are military vets and former partners of Captain America “who team up for a global adventure that will test their survival skills — as well as their patience.”
VanCamp reprises the role of Sharon Carter, Russell will take on the role of Captain America/U.S. Agent, and Brühl is back as the scheming mastermind Baron Zemo. It’s been rumored that he might be involved with some sort of massive viral threat. It’s been speculated that this viral threat could come from Virus X, the Madbomb, or something else that will put the population in grave danger.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is directed by Kari Skogland, and Malcolm Spellman is the head writer. The series will premiere on Disney+ sometime next year.
