DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN Season 2 TV Spot Teases Jessica Jones Team-Up and the Fight for New York

Marvel Studios just dropped a new TV spot for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, and with the series returning to Disney+ next month, the footage keeps things tight but gives fans exactly what they’ve been waiting for… Matt Murdock and Jessica Jones finally sharing the screen again in the MCU.

After a Season 1 production that went through some well-publicized creative changes, Marvel Studios and Marvel Television stuck to their promise of delivering the show on a yearly schedule.

That’s almost unheard of these days. Big-budget genre series often disappear for three years between seasons, which kills momentum and leaves fans hanging. Thankfully, that isn’t the case here. Season 2 arrives this year, and Season 3 is already lined up to follow just one year later.

The new TV spot doesn’t flood us with fresh footage, but it zeroes in on Daredevil’s dynamic with Jessica Jones. Krysten Ritter last played the hard-drinking private investigator in Jessica Jones Season 3 back in 2019 on Netflix.

Cox previously shared his excitement about reuniting these characters, saying, "Just by the nature of who Jessica is and who Matt is, they both give as much as they get.

“I'm not sure we were aware of it when we were shooting it. So we've been really waiting for this opportunity for so long now to put these two on screen together and have more fun with them."

He also talked about capturing the spark that made their earlier interactions so fun: "We both talked about it being important to play some of the hits, as it were, make sure that we have that same dynamic.

“Tongue in cheek, take the piss out of each other, but also get down to business and make sure that we're serving the story appropriately."

That dynamic is exactly what fans loved about the Netflix-era Defenders corner of the Marvel universe, and it’s exciting that they are bringing it into the MCU.

According to Marvel Television boss Brad Winderbaum, Jessica’s role in Season 2 is comparable to the amount of screentime Jon Bernthal had as The Punisher in the first batch of Daredevil: Born Again episodes.

That likely means she’ll pop up in a handful of episodes rather than dominate the season. Still, there’s been talk about a possible Jessica Jones Special Presentation or even a new series, so this could just be the beginning for the return of the character.

Story-wise, Daredevil: Born Again continues to raise the stakes. Survival, resistance, and redemption collide as the battle for the soul of New York intensifies.

In Season 2, Mayor Wilson Fisk tightens his grip on the city while hunting public enemy number one, the Hell’s Kitchen vigilante known as Daredevil. With Fisk crushing New York underfoot, Matt Murdock is forced back into the shadows, determined to dismantle the Kingpin’s corrupt empire and reclaim his home. Resist. Rebel. Rebuild.

Created by Dario Scardapane, Chris Ord, and Matt Corman, Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 sees Charlie Cox return as Matt Murdock and Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk. Also back are Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Ayelet Zurer as Vanessa Fisk, Wilson Bethel as Benjamin Poindexter, and Margarita Levieva as Heather Glenn. This season also introduces Matthew Lillard as the mysterious Mr. Charles.

With the street-level corner of the MCU heating up and fan-favorite characters crossing paths again, Season 2 looks like it’s ready to hit hard.

Daredevil: Born Again returns to Disney+ on March 24.
