Dark and Disturbing New Trailer For Netflix's New Series THE SOCIETY

Netflix has a new show arriving on May 10 called The Society, and it is something. Think Lord of the Flies with teenagers. Here’s the actual synopsis for comparison:

When everyone else mysteriously vanishes from their wealthy town, the teen residents of West Ham must forge their own society to survive.

The show itself looks incredibly dark and disturbing as half the trailer is seemingly teenagers dying. However, I have a lot of questions. Who will pick up farming? Do they even have seeds to start an agricultural system? What’s the monetary system going to be like? Will they simply revert to a barter system?

We know there will be rampant sex (it’s teenagers with no adults, you know it’s going to happen), so what happens when some of them become pregnant? Can they still access the internet? Do they have any livestock or are they all becoming vegan after the first month when the grocery store supply of meat spoils?

I have many other questions, but I think this is a good start. If none of these are addressed, I’ll know that this show is completely ridiculous.

The Society stars Gideon Adlon, Sean Berdy, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Jacques Colimon, Grace Victoria Cox, Olivia DeJonge, Alex Fitzalan, Kristine Froseth, Jose Julian, Rachel Keller, Alex MacNicoll, Kathryn Newton, Salena Qureshi, and Toby Wallace.

No parents. No rules. No way out. The Society arrives May 10 only on Netflix.
