Dark Horse Graphic and Prose Novels Getting Audio Books with New Deal

Here’s some fun news for audiobook fans. Dark Horse has partnered with Graphic Audio to bring several proprietary graphic novels to the world of audio and Recorded Books will be creating audiobooks for several prose novels. Both companies are brands of RBmedia. Audiobooks have been on the rise over the years as a great thing to listen to during long commutes or trips and I’m excited to hear about graphic novels getting some love. Talking about the new deal, Anji Cornette of Graphic Audio said:

We are thrilled to be partnering with Dark Horse and to be entrusted to produce dramatized audio versions of their proprietary graphic novels such as “The Mask,” “X,” “Ghost,” and “Living with the Dead. We look forward to expanding the Dark Horse universe into audio over the next few years.

Titles to be covered by Recorded Books will be revealed later, but we do know some of the titles that Graphic Audio will be bringing to life.

September 2021

  • "The Mask: I Pledge Allegiance to the Mask” by Christopher Cantwell and Patric Reynolds

  • “X Volume 1: Big Bad” by Duane Swierczynski and Eric Nguyen

November 2021

  • "Ghost: In the Smoke and Din” by Kelly Sue DeConnick (Captain Marvel), Phil Noto, Jenny Frison, Alex Ross

  • “Living with the Dead: A Zombie Bromance” by Mike Richardson (Dark Horse Founder and CEO) and Ben Stenbeck

All of the above titles will be available through Graphic Audio’s site and anywhere else that digital audiobooks are sold.
