Darren Aronofsky and Jennifer Lawrence's New Film MOTHER! Will Be a Horror Thriller
There's not much know about director Darren Aronofsky's next film project called mother!. Jennifer Lawrence is set to star in the film and according to a recent report from The Warp, the film is a horror thriller that will take Aronofsky back into Black Swan territory.
They say that Paramount Domestic Distribution chief Kyle Davies, "let the cat out of the bag, promising “thrills and chills” from Aronofsky and company upon the film’s Halloween-season release."
I loved Aronofsky's Black Swan and it's exciting to hear that the talented filmmaker is diving psycho-horror realm. The only bit of plot information we have for the film is the following log line:
"A couple’s relationship is tested when uninvited guests arrive at their home, disrupting their tranquil existence."
That definitely sounds like it could be the start of a horror movie. I guess we can expect things to take a dark and disturbing turn. As a fan of all the films that Aronofsky has made, I'm excited to see how mother! turns out.
