Dave Bautista Discusses Thor's First Meeting With The Guardians in AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR

Gods and the Guardians of the Galaxy literally collide in Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War. This past weekend Marvel shared a lengthy bit of insanely intense footage from the highly anticipated film that left fans stunned. You can read my detailed description of that here if you want.

Before I begin, I'm just going to throw up a Spoiler Warning just in case you don't want any details regarding how Thor and the Guardians meet.

The Infinity War footage that D23 attendees saw began with Thor floating in space and he smashes into the window of the Guardians ship. They bring him on board, wake him up, and they give him a ride to a place where something is wrong.

Thor's first meeting with The Guardians is pretty damn funny and in a recent interview with Good Morning America, Dave Bautista, who plays Drax, talks about the encounter, saying:

“What are the chances? Isn’t that great? When I first read that I laughed hysterically. When we shot it, it was just so ridiculous.
"We had a lot of fun with that whole scene. It's kind of the first interaction between the Guardians and Thor, obviously. There’s just so many jokes to be made there with how handsome and perfect Chris Hemsworth is and how insecure Star-Lord is. A lot of good fun and a lot of good humor.”

We didn't get to see a lot of humorous banter between the characters in the footage screened, but the thought of Star-Lord being insecure around Thor is pretty funny.

Obviously, things don't go very well for Thor at the end of Thor: Ragnarok in his battle against Hela if he ends up floating through space! Whatever happens, will lead to him battling Thanos and the Black Order next.

I can't wait for all of you to see this Infinity War footage! I hope Marvel eventually releases it online. Avengers: Infinity War opens May 4, 2018.
